I've been threatening to start a blog for awhile now and have never done it. I have to admit that part of the intimidation was just figuring out how to do it! One would think that someone with a degree in Information Technology might not find this little blogging interface so scary. But, as all my computer nerd friends know, I am a bit technologically stagnant. I don't have an iPhone or an Android or a Blackberry. I don't have a TV that works without a converter box (I don't have one of those either). I still use my VCR. I don't tweet. Or read books on a little Kindle thing. But...I am now starting a blog! My 35th birthday is tomorrow, so I thought to myself "Self, why not start this next turn on the ol' biological clock with something new!" It took some convincing, but self eventually agreed.
Truth is...I love to write. Truth is...I think I have lots of funny little things that happen in my life to write about. Truth is...no one else might find them funny! But who knows? Maybe someone will! And if not, I'll have my own little "korner" of the world that I can look back on and enjoy.
My greatest inspiration to do this is to document the funny little things that my darling Hailee says. The kid is just a crack up, plain and simple. It would be selfish of me not to share her little nuggets with the world! That being said...
This morning she was in my bathroom with me while I was getting ready. She was brushing through her hair, which is much shorter than it used to be. Out of nowhere, she says "Mommy....I wish I had long hair again. My puppy ears were fantastic."
And...as you can see, indeed they were.

Yessssss you did it! And it was great! What kills me about this picture is how you and I are on the sidelines like "doot de doot" while meanwhile this hilariousness goes on!! Keep it up sis, I'm hooked! Oh and happy birthday, an hour and a half early. :)
You do look completely bored in this picture while Hailee is strutting her stuff!! :) So cute.
